![]() Once you've restarted, you might notice windows takes a bit of extra time to initialize as normal. You have to restart your computer for the service to start properly, you can however force it (but I'm not going into that here, just restart lol). If you find that workstation is unchecked, simply check it. Go to the "Services" tab and scroll your way down the list until you find WORKSTATION, making absolutely SURE you don't uncheck anything while your scrolling downwards (Doing so might disable critically needed tasks for windows to run). A window will eventually pop up, and it might look dangerous and confusing. Go to the search field, type msconfig, then hit enter. So go to your Windows button, lower left corner of your desktop. And if you've got the same problem I have, there might have been someone who disabled it for you. ![]() Some of you, maybe even most of you, don't even know what Workstation is. Never in my 20+ years of PC experience have I ever had Workstation be needed for a game to simply run, never the less being a problem at all. It turns out that disabling the service task named "Workstation" was the culprit all along. I'm an avid PC user, and I tweak a lot of things to get the max performance out of it. It might be all the other stuff I've been doing, but as soon as I did the following, the game ran without a hitch: So it turns out, it was my fault all along.
